Forgetting memorized portions is one of the biggest worries for Hifz students and Huffaz. The solution is a reliable revision system. Here's how to revise the Quran and not forget.
1. Revise Every Single Day
Even 15 minutes a day is better than a long session once a week. Daily contact keeps the Quran fresh.
2. Use a Fixed Cycle
Decide how many days it takes to revise everything you've memorized, and stick to it. A Hafiz might revise one juz a day (a full cycle each month), or two juz a day (every two weeks).

3. Track Weak Pages
Keep a simple notebook or spreadsheet. Mark pages where you hesitate or make mistakes, and revise them extra during the week.
4. Recite to Someone
Reciting from memory to a teacher, parent or friend reveals mistakes you won't notice alone. Our Hifz program (revision plans for Huffaz included) gives you a regular listener.
5. Recite in Salah
Use your memorized portions in Sunnah prayers and Tahajjud. Reciting under the pressure of prayer quickly reveals weak spots.
6. Listen During the Day
Listen to the juz you're revising while commuting or doing chores.
7. Prepare for Ramadan
Leading or listening to Taraweeh is a great motivation. Start extra revision a few months before. See our Ramadan Quran plan.
