Welcome to Islam. Starting to learn the Quran can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to learn everything at once. Here's a gentle guide to learning the Quran as a new Muslim.
Priority 1: What You Need for Salah
Start with Al-Fatiha and a few short surahs (Al-Ikhlas, Al-Falaq, An-Nas). Using transliteration at first is fine while you learn to read Arabic. Learn the meaning too. It makes prayer far more meaningful.
Priority 2: Read the Meaning
Read a reliable English translation of the Quran. Many reverts start with shorter surahs and stories of the Prophets.

The perfect start for kids and beginners: Arabic letters, harakat and correct makharij.

Be Patient With Yourself
- Islam encourages ease. Small, consistent steps are best.
- Every effort is rewarded, even reading with difficulty.
- Ask questions. A good teacher welcomes them.
